在我们刚才听到的2个例句中，我们都可以听到同一个词语：make an offer of marrieage。Make在这个短语中的意思是put forward（提出要求请求）。 Offer是“提议”的意思，marriage指“婚姻”。那么，make an offer of marriage直译意思就是“提出一个婚姻的提议”，意译为“求婚”。用这个短语表述“向某人求婚”的意思，在短语的后面加上介词to即可，即：make an offer of maariage to someone。
