1:He haswalk out onhis wife.
例句-2:You'd betterwalk out onthat kind of friend as soon as possible.
习语中的walk作为及物动词用,它的意思是“cause sb or sth to walk, esp by accompanying him or it”,是指“陪着某人或某物走”。例如:He put his arm round me and walked me away.(译文:他伸出手臂搂着我, 带我走开了。)I'll walk you home.(我陪你走回家去。) 作为习惯用语,walk out on的意思是“to suddenly end your relationship with someone ”意思是突然和某人或某物断绝关系,可译为“抛弃,离开”,亦即“分道扬镳”之意。
1:Of course I wouldn'twalk out onyou and the children. What on earth do you take me for?
Eg. Who on earth is that female he's with?
注解2:take...for:(1)把......
Eg. Don't take him for a friend, he is nothing but a criminal.
Eg. Hearing him speak English, you will take him for an Englishman .
2:She had lead a cat and dog life with his husband for 12 years after wddding and finally made up her mind towalk out onhin.
1:lead a cat and dog life:过着水火不相容的生活,过着争争吵吵的生活,过着冰炭不相容的生活
注解2:make up one's mind:下定决心
Eg. He's made up his mind to prove that Mary's argument doesn't hold water.
Eg. Mary can't make up his mind whether to go to college or get a job. She can't eat her cake and have it.
1:He has walk out on his wife.
2:You'd better walk out on that kind of friend as soon as possible.
注解:as soon as possible:尽快,尽早
It is named Bettet In Life . Enjoy it...
