CCTV9英语新闻：China, Afghanistan vow to advance partnership（在线收听）

China and Afghanistan have vowed to advance their strategic cooperative partnership.

Chinese President Xi Jinping met Afghan Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah in Beijing. Xi Jinping praised Abdullah's contributions to bilateral ties. He said China backs the Afghan government's continued efforts towards an inclusive "Afghan-led, Afghan-owned" political reconciliation process. And he said China supports Afghanistan's participation in the "Belt and Road" initiative. 

Abdullah thanked China for its long-term assistance. He said Afghanistan wishes to expand bilateral cooperation in areas such as defense and regional interconnectivity. Abdullah is in China until Thursday, on his first official visit to the country since he took office.
