Four 8th-graders near Witchita, Kansas are accused of plotting a bomb and shooting attack on their middle school. The students are charged with conspiracy to commit first degree murder.

And Dominican Republic president Danilo Medina is celebrating his apparent re-election victory. Vote counting is said to be slow but returns show him with well over 50 percent.
