This is AP news minute. 

1. A kidnapped soccer player has been rescued in Mexico. Alan Pulido was freed in what's being called a security operation. His hand is bandaged but he told reporters he is fine. 

2. The libertarian governor nominated Gary Johnson to be its 2016 presidential candidate. Former Massachusetts governor William Weld is his running mate. The party is hoping for a strong showing, due to the wide dissatisfaction with the leading presidential candidates.   

3. Presumed republican nominee Donald Trump spoke in Washington on Sunday at the annual rolling thunder motorcycle rally. The event honors service member Missing in Action. Trump to take better care of veterans. 

4. And tropical depression "Bonnie" is causing wide-spread flooding on the Georgia and South Carolina coastline. The storm is expected to drop up-to 6 more inches of rain in some places.
