1. More pressure today on Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein is calling for Gonzales' resignation and Republican Chuck Hagel says the attorney general has a credibility problem. President Bush has repeatedly said he stands by Gonzales. 2. British Prime Minister Tony Blair is calling Iran's capture of 15 sailors and marines very serious. Iran says the group illegally entered Iranian waters Friday. Britain denies it. The British say they don't know where the 15 are being held. 3. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says Israel and the Palestinians should establish a common agenda to create a Palestinian state. Rice made the comments after meeting with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. 4. Two people survived falling at least 50 feet off a cruise ship. Rescuers found the pair in the Gulf of Mexico four hours after the fall. The cruise line says the passengers are in satisfactory condition. |
