This is AP news minute. 1. More than 1000 people have been rescued in Southern Louisiana from homes, Vehicles and even trees, as the state was hammered with flooding. More rain is expected. Two people have died. 2. Police in Raleigh, North Carolina responded to a shooting at a busy mall on Saturday afternoon. News reports said the police were working to secure the mall after gunshots were fired inside. 3. U.S.A's Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky celebrated her fourth gold medal and fifth overall in Rio de Janeiro, with a world record in the 800 meter free style. Katie spoke to media on Saturday, saying she's met all her goals for these Olympic games. 4. In Havana, subdued celebration for Fidel Castro's 90th birthday. Large banners of the revered former leader hung in the streets of the capital.
