But a few weeks ago, that machine, Curiosity told us that aeons ago life might have been possible there. Water, the one scientists described as good enough to drink, poured or ran across the landscape. By studying the terrains of Mars and the rocks from which they are built, we hope to solve the great biological question of Mars.
