This is AP news minute. 

1. President-elect Donald Trump is back in New York, taking meetings at Trump Tower,  with former rivals and long-time allies. This comes a day after he indicated he's worked out agreements to fill major posts in his administration. 

2. Protesters and police clashed again near construction of the Dakota Access oil pipeline. Authorities are defending their use of water douse on protesters over the weekend, during a skirmish in below-freezing weather. 

3. Pope Francis is stressing mercy in allowing all priests to absolve the faithful of the "Grave Sin" of  abortion. In a letter made public on Monday, the Pope said he was extending indefinitely the special permission he granted during the holy year of mercy, which just ended. 

4. And a group of musicians played music composed by holocaust victims in the halls of Jerusalem museum. One of the musicians said the music has been played elsewhere in the past, but staging in among the different holocaust displaces, held a special significance.
