This is AP news minute. 

1. In a show of confidence, Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti took a subway walk from the Universal City railway station Thursday, which was threatened with an attack. Heavily armed sheriff's deputies guarded that station and other parts of the transit system, following the threat which was reported to an oversea anonymous tip line. 

2. President-elect Donald Trump surprised the media waiting in the lobby of Trump Tower, when he emerged from an elevator accompanied by his secret service detail. Trump spoke briefly about the meeting he had for the day and commented on a tweet about cancelling the contract with Boeing to build the new Air Force One. 

3. Meanwhile, Joe Biden kept reports guessing his potential plans to seek a White House bid in four years after saying Monday night that he runs. On his way to a meeting Tuesday morning, Biden joked that "He is going to announce right now". 

4. And a suburban Chicago home famous for its annual Christmas light display has draped this year in10,000 purple lights in symbols, in a tribute to the late pop star Prince.
