This is AP news minute. 1. Donald J.Trump has been sworn in as the 45th president of the United States, giving an address that echoes similar sentiments from his campaign speeches. Trump was joined on speech by his entire family and vice president Mike Pence. The Obamas also attended and later departed from the joint base Andrews for a vacation in Palm Springs, California. 2. Protests erupted following Trump's inaugural address at the capital as riot police pepper sprayed the crowds. Loud bans and smokes rose as protesters smashed windows and stormed the streets. 3. A defense lawyer in New York has entered the not-guilty plea on behalf of Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman. Prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty as a condition of the extradition of Guzman, who is the convicted leader of Sinaloa cartel. 4. And rescue crews located up-to 8 people alive on Friday in an avalanche that crashed the hotels in Italy. Footage from Italian firefighters showed the child and women being pushed from the rebel.
