The 4 suspects in brutalizing a mentally disabled teenager in Chicago that was broadcast live on Facebook are on court today. A pretend fight between the young man and his schoolmates escalated into a brutal beating and racial taunts. The four face felony charges of kidnapping and battery among others. 

Two American astronauts are outside the International Space Station for a day-long space work. Commander Shane Kimbrough and flight engineer Peggy Whitson are starting to test of upgrading the station’s power system. 

And in Istanbul, the Greek Orthodox Christian community celebrated Epiphany with traditional blessing. Gathered on the shore of Istanbul’s Gold Horn, believers jumped into the icy water to retrieve a blessed cross.
