This is AP news minute. 

1. Andy Puzder, president Donald Trump's pick to lead department of labor has withdrawn his name from consideration. Democrats strongly opposed the pick, some republicans raised concerns about Puzder's failure to pay taxes on a former housekeeper who was unauthorized to work in the U.S. 

2. President Trump is urging Israel to hold back on building Jewish settlements. He welcomed Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House, and said peace between Israel and Palestinian doesn't have to include a two-state solution. 

3. U.S defense secretary James Mattis is urging NATO allies to boost defense spending this year, or see Trump administration "moderate its commitment to them". 

4. Dashcam video out of Glenn Heights, Texas captured a hero police officer protecting a fast food restaurant by pushing a burning pickup truck out of drive-thru line.
