　　The Philippines is proud and honored to participate in the Shanghai Expo.

　　我嫩很荣幸并且很自豪能够参加2010年的上海世博会。

　　China is third largest ecnomy in the world and the fastest growing.

　　中国的经济发展迅速并且已经成为世界上第二大经济体，

　　We see its rise as a significant opportunity for the Philippines.

　　我们将中国的崛起看做一个重要的机会，目前菲律宾于中国的整体关系更加成熟和全面，我们倍感自信。

　　Our overall relations with China are now more confident, mature, and comprehensive,

　　双方强调一切实际的重要的项目，

　　punctuated with substantial and important projects aimed at deepening exchanges in a number of areas, including trade and investment.

　　旨在加深包括贸易和投资在内的一些领域的往来。

　　With such comprehensive relationship between our countries, we look forward to a significant involvement in this landmark exposition.

　　I also take this occasion to extend to China our sincerest gratitude for the enormous opportunities Expo 2010 offers the Philippines.
