2014年CRI 肯尼亚被列为埃博拉高风险国 以巴双方同意将加沙停火协议延长五天(在线收听) |
Kenyan authorities are now stepping up efforts to prevent the spread of the deadly Ebola virus into East Africa, as the outbreak in West Africa continues to infect new victims and cause death. Meantime, the World Health Organization says more specialists are needed in affected countries to help stop the virus. The Kenyan government is shoring up surveillance at major airports and along its border. The move comes after the WHO classified Kenya as a "high-risk" country for the spread of the Ebola. Other nations near the Ebola zone have also taken steps to protect citizens against the spread of the virus. The ceasefire between Israeli troops and Hamas militant forces in Gaza has been extended by five days. The agreement was reached with just minutes left on a 72-hour ceasefire that has largely kept the peace on the Strip and allowed for the movement of humanitarian aid. Talks on a more long-lasting peace agreement continue in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. |
