Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is suggesting the China Railway Corporation look more toward the private sector to help advance railway projects in the country.

Li Keqiang was speaking on an inspection tour of the China Railway Corporation.

The CRC says fixed asset investment in the railway sector is expected to reach 800 billion yuan this year for over 60 new railway projects.

The projects are expected to create around 3 million jobs.

Earlier this year the State Council, the Chinese cabinet, released a new set of priorities for railway investment and financing.

Central and western regions are the main focus.

Rescuers say chances of survival are slim for 24 miners trapped in a colliery in Anhui after a blast six days ago.

The explosion took place early Tuesday in the City of Huainan, when 39 miners were in the underground shaft more than 500 meters at the time..

Twelve workers were managed to be pulled out of the mine after the blast.

Rescuers so far have retrieved three bodies.
