　　After the giant had finished eating, he roared, "Wife, bring the magic harp!" 巨人吃完饭后，嚷道：“老婆，把竖琴拿来！”

　　The woman carried in a beautiful harp with strings of gold. 女人拿来了带着金弦的漂亮竖琴。

　　"Harp," said the giant, "play for me!" “竖琴，”巨人说，“为我演奏！”

　　At once the sound of soft, sweet music filled the air. 轻柔甜美的音乐立即充斥了空气。

　　Never had Jack heard such wonderful music. 杰克从未听过如此美妙的音乐。

　　He wanted more than ever to get the magic harp. 他比以往任何时候都更渴望得到竖琴。

　　The giant listened for a long time. At last he fell fast asleep in his chair. 巨人听了很久。最后，他在椅子上睡着了。

　　While the giant slept, the boy crept quietly out of the cupboard and took the harp in his arms. 巨人睡着时，小男孩悄悄从碗柜里爬出来，把竖琴抱在怀里。

　　But as he ran, the giant fell over a stone. 但他奔跑时，被石头绊倒了。

　　Before he could get up, Jack was at the bottom of the beanstalk. 在他起身前，杰克到了仙豆底部。

　　"Mother! Mother!" cried the lad. "Quick! Bring me the ax!" “妈妈！妈妈！”小男孩叫道。“快点儿给我拿把斧子！”

　　His mother handed the ax to Jack. Quickly he took the ax and cut down the beanstalk. 他的妈妈把斧子递给他。他快速拿了斧子把仙豆砍倒。

　　Over it fell, and Jack was safe! 仙豆一倒，杰克就安全了！

　　Just then he saw the fairy standing beside him. 就在这时，他看到了站在他身边的仙女。

　　"You are a brave boy," she said. “你是个勇敢地孩子，”她说，
