Ethan hurried to give him another bottle of milk. 伊桑赶忙又给了它一瓶牛奶。

　　"Poor little fellow," said the Captain. "Where is he going to sleep?" 可怜的小家伙，哥哥说。它要睡哪呢？

　　Ethan found an apple box and made a soft bed in it for Snooks. 伊桑找到了一个苹果箱子，在里面给斯努克斯做了个软床。

　　When the cub had been fed for the last time that night, and put into his warm box, Ethan crawled into his own cot. 那天晚上伊桑给熊宝宝喂完最后一次奶之后，把它放进温暖的箱子，然后伊桑也爬进了自己的小床。

　　The little boy was almost asleep when a cry, that grew louder and louder, came from the apple box. 伊桑刚刚睡着，突然苹果箱子里传来了一阵哭声，声音越来越大。

　　"That cub can't be hungry again," said Ethan in surprise. 不会吧！那个熊宝宝又饿了吗？伊桑惊讶地说。

　　"Maybe he is lonesome," answered the Captain. 可能它有些孤单吧，哥哥回答说。

　　Ethan sat up. "Well, give him to me then," he said. 伊桑坐了起来，好吧，那么把它给我吧，他说道。

　　His brother put the little ball of fur under the covers. 哥哥把这个小毛球放在了被子下。

　　For a few minutes the cub rolled about and sniffed happily. 熊宝宝在床上滚了滚，高兴地嗅了嗅四周。

　　Then, with just his little black nose sticking out, he went to sleep. 这样持续了几分钟，然后它露出自己的小黑鼻子就又睡着了。

　　"My!" thought Ethan, "I'm glad that I was not afraid to go into that cave. 天那！伊桑想，我真高兴自己勇敢地进入了那个山洞。

　　There aren't many boys who can have a little cub like Snooks for a pet." 没有多少孩子能够有个像斯努克斯这样的小熊作为自己的宠物。
