A day after the New York Times published a list of questions presented to President Donald Trump's attorneys by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Trump is again blasting the investigation of what he calls "a made-up, phony crime". He tweets, "it would seem very hard to obstruct justice for a crime that never happened."

US border inspectors allowed some of the Central American asylum-seekers to enter the country for processing, ending a brief impasse over lack of space. But the immigrants who crossed Mexico in a caravan may still face a long legal path.

Fired FBI director James Comey says President Donald Trump's political attacks on the FBI are making the country less safe. In a telephone interview with the Associated Press on Tuesday, Comey said Trump's blistering attacks on FBI leadership are undercutting public respect for the bureau.

U.S. researchers are seeking 1 million volunteers to share their DNA and ten years of health habits for science. The National Institutes of Health wants to learn how genes, lifestyles and environment interact, to better customize health care.
