The makers of the costly electric powered bikes say it’s the most technologically advanced motorcycle on the market. At the launch, ARC’s founder Mark Truman explained why. It’s the safest, it’s the cleanest, it’s the most sustainable. It’s got super bike pace. Hand-built at the firm’s Coventry British headquarters, the futuristic-looking bike Vector has a lightweight carbon composite structure.

Jordan Gibbon, editor of motorcycle news, says, it’s revolutionary. It’s very light. It’s only about 220 kilos. It’s quite powerful, it’s talky. It got a good range. If you ride it like a motorcycle, it’s meant to be ridden. It’ll do about 200 miles and amazingly, will recharge in about 45 minutes. So it’s sort of broken the mold for electric vehicles.

ARC has received financial backing from a heavy weight Jaguar Land Rover. We’ve had, you know, blue chip investment from companies like Jaguar Land Rover, and that’s really gonna see us through a multi-year plan to take up forward over the next few years. Cutting-edge haptic sensory technology is used via what is called an intelligent rider jacket. It vibrates to alert of a potential hazard and even provides some other unique benefits.

I really like the concept with a haptic suit, and that gives you that feedback, and I think there’s a euphoria mode which makes your hair stand up at the, you know, on your back when you ride the bike. The helmet has three settings including euphoric mode which lets riders play music through the haptics as they ride. It also allows the riders to see what’s behind them thanks to a rear view camera. The company plans to build about 400 of the motor bikes in its first year of sales.
