The years passed, and Sigurd grew taller and stronger. His hair was golden, his cheeks were rosy, and his eyes were large and shining. 时间飞逝,西格德长高了,也强壮了。他有着金色的头发,玫瑰色的脸颊,眼睛又大又亮。
Other children loved him because he was unselfish, 其他孩子喜爱他,因为他无私,

REGIN THE SMITH 铁匠雷金
In King Alfs palace lived a very old man named Regin. 阿尔夫国王的宫殿里住着一位名叫雷金的老人。

Regin was the greatest smith in the world. He made spears, swords, and armor such as no other man could make. 雷金是世界上最伟大的铁匠。他制造了其他人无法制造的矛、剑和盔甲。
He made wonderful things of gold and silver, also, and Sigurd loved to run into the smithy and watch Regin at his work. 他还用金银做了许多奇妙的东西。西格德喜欢跑到铁匠铺里去看雷金干活。
Regin was a very wise man and could play sweetly upon the harp and sing wonderful songs of heroes and their battles. 雷金是一个非常聪明的人,他能弹着悦耳的竖琴,歌颂英雄和他们的战斗。
But Regin was very unhappy, because many years before, a great treasure had been taken from him. 但是雷金很不开心,因为许多年前,他的一笔巨大的财富被夺走了。
