2019年CRI 83岁指挥家在京持续2小时演出（在线收听）

We'll see famous conductor Charles Dutoit is in China once again, in stage the Opera 'The Damnation of Faust.' in Beijing on Monday evening.

The Opera is by French composer Hector Berlioz.

Along with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and The Philharmonic Chorus of Tokyo, Dutoit has brought the dramatic legend to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the composer's death.

"The visual things must be in your imagination. That's not on the stage. I would like to insist on the fact that since it's not an opera with acts but a dramatic legend in France, we always played without intermission. So it's a two-hour and five minutes piece long without intermission."

The conductor has toured China 32 times.

我们将再次在中国见到著名指挥家查尔斯·迪图瓦，他担任指挥的歌剧《浮士德的沉沦》于周一晚上在北京上演。

该歌剧由法国作曲家赫克托·伯辽兹创作。

迪图瓦将联手上海交响乐团和东京爱乐合唱团，带来这一戏剧传奇，以纪念伯辽兹逝世150周年。

“视觉看到的事物你必须去想象。而不是只在舞台上。我坚持这样一个事实，因为它不是歌剧，而是法国的戏剧传奇，所以我们总是不间断地演奏。所以这是一个两小时五分钟、中间没有间断的表演。”

这名指挥家已来过中国32次。
