Former Governor Eliot Spitzer has been accused by a Russian woman of choking her and tossing her to the ground.

Police were sent to a hotel after the woman called 911 saying she cut her wrist.

Spitzer answered the door saying there was no problem.

Officers later returned to find broken glass and blood-stained clothes in the hotel room.

After the woman was taken to a hospital, she told staff there that it was Spitzer who attacked her after she said she was returning to Russia.

A spokeswoman for the ex-governor says the allegation is not true.

Spitzer resigned as Governor in 2008 in the wake a prostitution scandal.

一名俄罗斯妇女指控前州长艾略特·斯皮策曾勒住她的脖子使她窒息而后将她扔到地上。

在她拨打911电话称自己割腕后，警方即刻赶往事发的一家酒店。
