Superstar Beyonce was a surprise presenter at the The 2017 Sportsperson of the Year Awards took place Tuesday night.

The singer said that she felt "so good to be here on such a special night of appreciation" and thanked Kaepernick for his "selfless heart," "conviction" and "personal sacrifice."
