1. Pakistani officials say Benazir Bhutto was not killed by gunfire or shrapnel in yesterday's suicide attack seen here in this new video. They say she fractured her skull when the force of a suicide bomber's explosion knocked her head into a lever in her SUV. Officials say the attack was orchestrated by a militant group. 2. A winter storm is moving into North Illinois. It's threatening to disrupt holiday travel. Forecasters say parts of the state could get up to six inches of snow. Flights have been delayed about an hour at O'Hare International Airport. Delays are expected later today. 3. An AP-Yahoo poll shows that voters are now more concerned about the economy and health care than the war in Iraq. The voters surveyed say they are more likely to trust Democrats than Republicans to handle those issues. 4. And it wouldn't be a new year without this. The famous New Year's Eve Times Square ball is already in place. And event organizers are moving into place the giant eight that will soon help to ring in 2008. |
