It's understood union leader Ged Kearney will be announced as the candidate for Labor in the upcoming by-election. The ABC reported yesterday that a department of prime minister and cabinet audit found the AFP had lost almost 400 cabinet files between 2008 and 2013. Ms Spiers was 18 when she disappeared after a night out with friends. Police believe she was abducted and murdered, but her body has never been found. The blood test identifies biological markers in blood plasma that show the buildup of Alzheimer's protein.
