Nine Indian nationals accused of being "Commonwealth Games imposters" have been detained by Australian border force officials at Brisbane Airport. An airline liason officer flagged the group on transit through Thailand on suspicion they weren't genuine travellers. The man accused of arranging the travel, 46-year-old Rakesh Sharma, has been charged with people smuggling and falsifying documents.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian says the revised plan will save half-a-billion dollars.
