North and South Korea have agreed to work for the "complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula". The leaders of North Korea and South Korea are meeting tonight for a formal dinner. South Korean president Moon Jae-In has declared a new era of peace saying there will be "no more war on the peninsula".

The Banking Royal Commission has heard AMP may have committed a criminal offence in misleading the corporate regulator. Counsel assisting the inquiry Rowena Orr said it was open to the commission to make a finding of misconduct against AMP. Ms Orr said the company misled ASIC on 20 occasions and altered an independent report.

State and federal environment ministers have agreed on a plan to address Australia's recycling crisis at a joint meeting in Melbourne. China is no longer accepting Australian waste meaning recycling could end up in landfill. The federal environment minister Josh Frydenberg says governments have pledged to purchase more recyclable products and develop domestic recycling capacity.

And the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their third child Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.
