A jury has convicted former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin of murder and manslaughter in the killing of George Floyd. Floyd died last May after Chauvin, a white officer, pinned his knee on the 46-year-old Black man's neck.

Several doctors were prevented from seeing Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny in a prison hospital after his three-week hunger strike. Navalny was transferred Sunday from a penal colony east of Moscow to a hospital after his lawyers said his condition has dramatically worsened.
