On Dec. 3rd, a Falcon 9 rocket blasted off from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California for it's third voyage with the large payload.

The reuseable rocket carried satellites for 34 different companies, government agencies, and universities, for a total of 64 satellites.

As planned, the rocket's first stage booster returned to Earth, landing on a platform off the coast of southern California.

But the mission was also a success for the Seattle-based startup Spaceflight, which arranged passage for each satellite.
