For the mums, it can all get a bit confusing.

As the chicks gain confidence,

they start to hesitantly follow their mothers.

便开始慢慢地跟在妈妈身后

But once she tastes freedom, there's no stopping her.

一旦尝到了自由的滋味，谁都阻挡不了它了

She tumbles out of sight of her mother.

它跌跌撞撞走出了妈妈的视线

She struggles to regain her composure.

它试着重新镇定下来

At this size, every lump of snow is like a boulder.

以它的小身板，每个雪块都像是巨石

Separated from her mother, the colony is a reassuring sight.

和妈妈分开之后，看到企鹅群让它感到很安心

Back on the flat, her confidence returns.

重新回到平地，它又恢复了信心

She heads for the security of the huddle.

它向企鹅群奔去

But now she's lost in the crowds...and out of sight of her mother.

可是它却迷失了方向，找不到妈妈了

Her mother calls.

妈妈在召唤孩子

But her chick is lost in a penguin maze.

而孩子在迷宫般的企鹅群里迷了路

She starts to realise the danger she's in.

小企鹅开始明白了自己的危险处境

She won't survive alone for long.

它不能独自生存
