1.President Bush and John McCain have put the past behind them. Bush is endorsing his once bitter rival in the 2000 presidential race. The two are joining together and hoping to prevent Democrats from winning the White House this fall.
2.The Quaker Oats Company says it's recalling a limited number of Aunt Jemima Pancake & Waffle Mix products. That's because of a potential salmonella contamination. The recalled products are sold in two- and five-pound boxes with Best Before dates of February 8th through 16th, 2009.The company says so far no illnesses have been reported.
3.A good Samaritan died after chasing a pair of thieves at this Crestwood Starbucks. The 54-year-old saw a young couple steal the tip jar. He ran after them into the parking lot, but the couple ran over the man with their getaway car. Police are offering a 20,000-dollar reward.
4.Twin torrents of water unleash from this dam, rush through the Grand Canyon. More than 300,000 gallons of water per second were being released. That's enough water to fill the Empire State Building in 20 minutes.
