Good afternoon, I'm Naamua Delaney at the CNN Center in Atlanta. Here's a look at what's happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

Authorities are calling it the worst crime in Austria. This 73-year-old man is now in custody. And police say he has confessed to imprisoning his daughter in a cellar for 24 years and raping her for even longer. The 42-year-old woman told police he started sexually abusing her when she was just 11. Police say he has admitted to fathering her seven children. Three of those children were also forced to live in the cellar.

Police were alerted to the situation this month after the imprisoned woman's daughter, a 19-year-old woman, got sick and was admitted to the hospital. The man who brought her there said he was her grandfather. DNA testing revealed he was also her father.

Firefighters are furiously trying to gain control of a nearly 500-acre wildfire in the Sierra Madre foothills. That's about 20 miles northeast of Los Angeles. More than 1000 people have been forced out of their homes. The fire is about 23% contained right now.

Disney teen superstar Miley Cyrus is apologizing for a picture in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair. The 15-year-old said she took part in the photo shoot because she was told it would be artistic. After seeing the photographs and reading the story, Cyrus says she feels embarrassed. The 'Hannah Montana' star has issued an apology to her fans about the photo. Vanity Fair is defending its position for taking the picture. The magazine says Miley's parents were present for the shoot and at the time approved the digital shots.

Well gas prices have hit another record high. AAA says the national average for regular unleaded is now three dollars sixty cents a gallon. And in San Francisco gas prices hit 4 dollars over the weekend. That makes it the first mainland American city with an average pump price of more than 4 dollars a gallon.

Keep an eye on your bank account, your stimulus rebate could show up today if you opted for direct deposit when you filed your taxes. Nearly 8 million households will get the payment electronically by the end of the week. Paper checks start going out May 9th. Rebates range from 300 dollars for individuals to 1200 dollars for couples.
