3. The shipping captain, held hostage by Somali pirates but rescued by the Navy, is expected to return to the US tomorrow along with his crew. They will be reunited with family members at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

4. One of boxing's most popular fighters says he's retiring. Oscar De La Hoya leaving four months after being thoroughly beaten, his fourth loss in his last seven fights. He leaves with a record of 39-6 with 30 knockouts.
