1.Gunmen have opened fire on opposition protestors at a massive march in Iran. An AP photographer saw one person fatally shot and several others who appeared seriously wounded. Disputes over alleged vote rigging in last week's elections have touched off days of rioting in Tehran. 2.President Barack Obama was in Chicago, speaking to the American Medical Association. Obama is urging doctors to support his health care overhaul plan. He says lowering medical cost is the most important thing he can do to ensure a healthy domestic economy. 3.The lawyer for a troubled former Super Bowl champion Plaxico Burress says the receiver should be able to play this season. Burress was in court, asking for a continuance in his case. He could face more than three years in prison for a gun possession after accidently shooting himself in the thigh last year at a Manhattan night club. 4.And it was a harrowing ordeal for this week-old puppy. The cocker spaniel was accidently flushed down a toilet when the owner's four-year-old son tried to wash the animal. Neighbors were asked not to flush their toilets while a plumber located the dog and pulled it to safety. |
