A person close to the family tells the AP that the family is contemplating funeral arrangements and caring for his three children while try to learn more about who is around him in his final days.

2. President Barack Obama isn't wasting any time trying to convince senators to follow the House and pass a climate and energy bill. Obama said the bill will create jobs, make renewable energy profitable and decrease America's dependence on foreign oil.

3. Brazil has ended the search for more bodies from the Air France jet that crashed into the Atlantic Ocean nearly a month ago. The search for the jet's flight recorders will go on. A Brazilian Air Force official says it will be impossible to find more than the 51 bodies already recovered.

4. Disgraced financier Bernard Madoff has been ordered to forfeit $171 billion in assets. That's the total amount that could be connected to his fraud. Monday, prosecutors will ask a judge to sentence Madoff to 150 years in prison.
