1. The president of Honduras says he's the victim of a coup after he was brutally kidnapped by soldiers. Manuel Zelaya spoke from Costa Rica, saying he was detained shortly before voting was to begin on a constitutional referendum. 2. Florida police say TV pitchman Billy Mays has died in his Tampa home. Authorities say Mays was pronounced dead Sunday morning after his wife discovered him unresponsive. There were no signs of a break-in and investigators do not suspect foul play. 3. South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford says he did briefly consider resigning after his extramarital affair became public. Sanford spoke to the AP outside his coastal home on Sullivans Island. The governor admitted last week to a year-long affair with a woman in Argentina but vows to stay in office. 4. Los Angeles police say the doctor who's with Michael Jackson in his final moments is cooperating with the investigation. A spokeswoman for Doctor Conrad Murray says he's not a suspect. Murray reportedly performed CPR on Jackson until paramedics arrived. |
