1. The space shuttle Endeavour is on its way toward the International Space Station. Endeavour lifted off this morning just after 4 a.m. in one of the shuttle program's last scheduled missions. (The) pre-dawn launch was the last one in darkness if the rest of the space shuttle schedule holds. 2. Cleanup continues in the mid-Atlantic after a record weekend snow storm. Some areas get up to three feet of snow. Power companies have been working around the clock to restore power to thousands of customers. And the news gets worse for the region - another storm this week could bring another ten inches of snow. 3. President Barack Obama says he hasn't ruled in or out, where alleged 9/11 planner Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will be tried. The plan now is for the trial to be held in lower Manhattan. However, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants the trial moved out of the city. 4. It will likely be days before the partying stops in New Orleans after the Saints defeated the Indianpolits Colts to win Super Bowl 44. The Saints were led by Game MVP Drew Brees, who threw for two touchdowns. It is the Saints' first Super Bowl title. |
