The 77-year-old Democrat was a retired Marine Corps officer, who became an outspoken critic of the Iraq War. [2] Michael Jackson's personal doctor has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the pop star's death. Dr. Conrad Murray has been accused of giving Jackson the powerful anesthetic propofol the night before he died. Murray is expected to plead not guilty.
