1. Senate Republicans have found minor glitches in the health care bill, forcing it back to the House. The two minor provisions that have problems are with Pell Grants for low-income students. Democrats expect the provisions to be formally removed from the bill today. The Senate has scheduled passage of the health bill for this afternoon.

2. President Barack Obama is asking Congress for 2.8 billion dollars in emergency funding for the reconstruction effort in Haiti. The request comes a week before a UN donors conference. Haitian officials plan to ask for 11.5 billion in reconstruction assistance.

3. Toyota faces a federal court hearing today on whether dozens of lawsuits over recent safety issues will be consolidated before a single judge. A panel of federal judges in San Diego will choose whether to combine the more than 100 suits and where to send them. Toyota has been hit by an avalanche of suits after recalled more than eight million vehicles.

4. Nadya Suleman is working with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals in an attempt to keep her home. Suleman is on the verge of foreclosure. So she has put a sign in her front yard reading, "Don't let your cat or dog become an 'Octomom'. Always spay or neuter." PETA is paying Suleman 5,000 dollars for the sign.
