The top nuclear envoys from South Korea, the US and Japan have met in Seoul to hold talks on the DPRK amid worries about the country's atomic weapons programs.
Wednesday's meeting came in the wake of the DPRK's recent claim that it had tested a new type of missile from a submarine. It also reiterated that it had built a nuclear warhead small enough to be mounted on a long-range missile. Some analysts are sceptical about the claims, but believe the country has advanced its nuclear and missile programmes since international nuclear disarmament talks stalled in 2009.
South Korea, the US and Japan are members of the six-party negotiation aimed at ending the DPRK's nuclear weapons program in return for aid. The other members are the DPRK, China and Russia.
