Supply side-reform is dominating the Two Sessions thus far. Five national political advisors have just briefed the media on this subject. Here's Li Yining, a senior economist -- and also a member of the CPPCC Standing Committee -- on how he sees China's economy progressing this year.
"China's economy will remain stable and see progress in 2016. This is the general trend. We will still implement a proactive fiscal policy and a prudent monetary policy. The key is to remain cautious. Instead, the economy needs 'directional adjustment and control, fine adjustment, and pre-adjustment. Investment and consumption in the economy will not be sharply reduced. In fact, there are many projects in need of investment in China'," Li Yining said.
