Adele Announces New Album on Social Media 阿黛尔宣布在社交媒体发布新专辑
Adele will release her latest album "25" on November 20, she announced Thursday on her Instagram page.
It is Adele’s first album since 2011.
"25" is inspired by Adele’s life. "Turning 25 was a turning point for me," Adele wrote in her Twitter post. She said she thought she was between childhood and adulthood1. She decided2 to leave behind bad things from her past.
"Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult, I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk."
After Adele’s announcements appeared on Twitter and Instagram, fans flooded her social media pages with praise. Here is what Adele’s fans wrote on Twitter and Instagram:
Break from Music
“25” will be "a make-up record," Adele said. She also posted that she hopes to correct mistakes she made in the past.
Adele’s last album, "21," won numerous awards, including several Grammy awards for Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal3 Album and others.
Health issues forced Adele to take the long break from music. In 2011, the singer had throat surgery at a hospital in Boston. In 2012, she had a son. Adele tweeted to explain her time away from making music. "I’m sorry it took so long,” she wrote, “but you know, life happened."
Adele’s fans were happy to hear her new music. She released part of a new single in a YouTube video. The song talks about healing. They say that time’s supposed to heal ya / But I ain’t* done much healing.
Adele’s supporters hope that she has good health, and that she continues to make beautiful music. They hope to hear more from her by the end of November.
