Environmental groups have often clashed with the Bush administration over enforcement of clean air and water laws. In fact, last year they won a Supreme1 Court ruling compelling regulation of greenhouse gas emissions2. The White House has touted3 investment in new green technology, and the marketplace, as the best ways to address challenges like global warming. This week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency gathered together scientists, investors4 and industry to show off what they say are key innovative5 technologies in the environmental effort.
