And so, I guess a few weeks or a few months ago, on a computer screen somewhere, this started to come into view. This moment.

So what you're seeing is that last orbit of photons. You're seeing Einstein's geometry laid bare.

The puncture¹ in space-time is so deep that light moves around in orbit, so that light behind the black hole,
