The United Nations says Pakistan's worst floods in living memory have affected3 more than four million people. Torrential rain has drowned parts of the country, with at least 1,600 people confirmed dead and many more still missing.
And US officials have charged 14 people with providing money, personnel and services to the Somali militant4 group al-Shabab. Prosecutors5 say they raised the money by telling people the funds would help the poor and needy6 in Somalia. But the money is said to have gone to al-Shabab which the US and Britain consider to be a terrorist group.
