Marshall Grant from Johnny Cash's band, the Tennessee Two, has died. He was the bass1 player in the band, playing here on the left from 1954 until 1980. Marshall Grant was in Arkansas for a Johnny Cash Festival when he suffered an aneurysm and stroke. He was 83 years old. The trio were known for their boom-chicka-boom beat. Marshall Grant was the last surviving member of the band.
A new music video has been released by Bob Marley & The Wailers. It features in a new campaign to raise money for the famine in the Horn of Africa. It's called “I'm Gonna Be Your Friend”.

So far, more than 150 celebrities2 have given their support to the social media campaign. They include U2, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney. They are all using Facebook and Twitter to urge fans to donate.
And Michael Jackson's children have donated several of his artworks to a children's hospital in Los Angeles. Prince, Paris and Prince Michael have presented 10 pieces by the King of Pop at a special ceremony. The works include sketches3 and a signed portrait. Michael Jackson died two years ago, aged4 50.
