A total of 115 employees will lose their jobs when the Angas Zinc3 Mine at Strathalbyn, in the Adelaide hills closes at the end of September. The mine's operator Terramin says the mine will reach the end of its economic life at current metal prices by then. The 400,000 tonne per annum operation was commissioned in 2008 at a cost of 71 million dollars. The company says it has plans to continue exploring under and near the mine.
