 At least 20 people have been killed in air strikes on two hospitals in northwest Syria. Medecins Sans Frontieres says it was operating a hospital in E province that was hit by bombs from Russian or pro-Syrian government forces, and Turkey has blamed Russia for a strike on a children's hospital further north in Azaz. That strike killed at least 14 people.  

 

Australian's population has climbed past 24 million for the first time. The Bureau of Statistics Population Clock says the milestone¹ was hit at about 12:50 this morning. The ABS says all states and territories are growing, with Victoria expanding the fastest. 

 

 

A probe into stillborn and new born babies at a Melbourn hospital has uncovered further 7 deaths, bringing the total number to 18 since 2003.
