The long-awaited Mueller report into Russia's meddling¹ in the 2016 presidential election has revealed Donald Trump² feared for his presidency³ throughout the investigation⁴. Mr trump said his presidency was 'over' when he was told that the special counsel had been appointed. The inquiry⁵ found no evidence that Mr Trump's campaign team engaged in a criminal conspiracy⁶ with Russia. But the report did detail ten instances where Mr Trump may have tried to obstruct⁷ the investigation.

A 14-month old baby boy has been dragged from his family's campervan by a dingo on Fraser Island. The toddler's parents found the child crying metres away from their Eurong campsite. He suffered deep cuts to his neck and head. The baby boy has been flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.

A teenager is in custody⁸ after a 21-year old man was stabbed in south-east Sydney overnight. Just before 10 o'clock, the pair became involved in a fight at a home in Randwick. The older man left the house but was pursued by the teen. And after another argument, he was stabbed several times. The 21-year old is in a stable condition in hospital. The teenager is assisting police with their enquiries.
